Elspeth Briscoe
CEO & Founder, Learning with Experts
Elspeth Briscoe is the founder and CEO of Learning with Experts, an Oxford-based digital education company she built from scratch in 2015. Over the past decade, she has grown the business to 100,000 learners across 91 countries, built clinical partnerships with the NHS and the Mayo Clinic, an accredited qualification with the Royal Horticultural Society, and a platform whose completion rates are four times the industry average. She has done this as a female founder in a sector where less than 3% of venture capital reaches women. Outside the business, she is a Non-Executive Director on the board of Polyatrics, working to transform preventative digital healthcare within the NHS. She has served on panels for Rathbones, Innovate UK, Active Oxfordshire and Women in Tech. She is a qualified landscape designer with distinction, founder of MyGardenSchool, the world’s first virtual horticultural school, and an award-winning garden photographer recognised by the International Garden Photographer of the Year. She cares for her elderly father, who has Alzheimer’s, and is raising three teenagers. Elspeth is one of the most capable and quietly determined leaders I have encountered in my work at the intersection of medicine, technology and public health.
